The spate of family tragedies reveals that social grievances are on the verge of eruption

香港社會近日瀰漫一片戾氣，三日之內接連發生三宗駭人聽聞倫常慘案，其中兩宗更涉及年輕人弒父殺母，令人哀嘆人倫滅絕，香港病了。

雖然香港是富裕社會，其實經濟成果分配嚴重不均，在百萬富翁人數創十年新高的同時，逾七成港人承認生活在痛苦之中，其中以房屋問題最令人痛苦，其次是物價、貧困、就業、環境污染及老齡化。這六大港人痛苦之源，恰恰是歷屆港府惡質管治種下的惡果，港人生活質素下降，中產向下流，年輕人苦無出路，怨氣如火山熔岩在社會四處流動，尋找噴發口。

涉及兩宗弒父殺母案的兇嫌成長背景相似，均是沉迷網絡或電子遊戲的失業青年，令人關注近年網上暴力遊戲氾濫，對年輕人成長產生負面影響。政客鼓動對現實不滿的年輕人上街，導致反社會、反政府、反父母情緒高漲，這兩股負能量匯合，把不少年輕人引向「牛角尖」，傾向以極端手段解決問題。

倫常慘案接二連三，表面原因是個別年輕人不滿父母嚴厲管教作出的暴力行為，歸根究柢，正是港府管治無能，年輕人淪為失落一代，不滿現實已達臨界點，香港將永無寧日。

An atmosphere of violence has pervaded Hong Kong recently. In 3 days, 3 shocking family tragedies happened consecutively and 2 of them involved patricide and matricide by young sons. People cannot help but lament the demise of traditional family relationship. Hong Kong is sick.

Although Hong Kong is a rich society, the sharing of its economic fruits is severely uneven. While the number of millionaires reaches a record high in 10 years, over 70% of Hong Kong people admit that they are leading a dreadful life. Housing is the most painful problem for them, followed by commodity price, poverty, employment, environmental pollution and aging. These 6 major causes of misery are exactly the evil consequence entailed by the poor governance of the previous terms of government. Hong Kong people's quality of life is deteriorating, the middle class is downgrading, and our young people see no future. Grievances are flowing to all corners of the community like lava, looking for a vent for eruption.

The backgrounds of the 2 suspects in the parricides are similar in that they are both unemployed young men addicted to electronic games. That online violent games have spread unchecked and have negative formative effects on young people must concern us. Politicians have been instigating the discontented youth to take to the streets, stirring up their anti-society, anti-government and anti-parent sentiments. When these 2 negative energies converge, many young people would be misled into radical thinking and end up solving problems with extreme means.

Family tragedies befell one after another. The cause on the surface is that some young persons were unhappy with their strict parents and thus resorted to violent behaviours. In the final analysis, it is because the Hong Kong Government is so incapable that our youth are reduced to a lost generation. Their dissatisfaction with reality has reached the tipping point. Never will there be a day of peace for Hong Kong anymore.
