政壇：艾博特批回教 言論惹火
極端回教組織「伊斯蘭國」（IS）近期發動多宗恐襲，嚴重影響外界對回教的印象，歐美更掀起反回教浪潮。澳洲前總理艾博特日前受訪時「踩多一腳」，自作聰明指回教「好有問題」，需要改革。

艾博特向記者坦言，所有文化都沒有平等：「一個相信得體及寬容的文化，比起一個認為可以真主之名殺人的文化更好。（A culture that believes in decency and tolerance is much to be preferred to one which thinks that you can kill in the name of God.）」他解釋，回教從未出現革新、啟蒙，以及擁有政教分離的概念，認為有需要改革。
如此惹火言論自然引起外界批評，但艾博特繼續發揮其「死撐」本色，稱：「我們不能對回教內部的嚴重問題視而不見。（We can't remain in denial about the massive problem within Islam.）」他更以「外來人」的身份，呼籲回教徒宣告「把侮辱先知的人斬首」的法則無效。
