政壇：艾博特籲歐「鎖國」阻難民潮
澳洲前總理艾博特的反難民強硬立場，令外界印象深刻。他日前在英國演說時，不忘重提此政策，向歐洲獻謀應對難民潮。他更狠批基督教「愛人如己」的主張，令歐洲在處理難民一事，犯下災難性的錯誤。

曾受訓成為牧師的艾博特說：「不論是暗示還是明確，愛人如己是所有西方政體的重心，但這個所謂有益的本能，正導致歐洲犯下災難性的錯誤。（Implicitly or explicitly, the imperative to love your neighbour as you love yourself is at the heart of every Western polity … but right now this wholesome instinct is leading much of Europe into catastrophic error.）」
艾博特又以過來人的身份，教導歐洲各國應學他「鎖國」禁止難民入境。他說：「澳洲的經驗證明了唯一勸阻難民前來的方法，便是不讓他們入境。（The Australian experience proves that the only way to dissuade people seeking to come from afar is not to let them in.）」
