政壇：奧巴馬探監躉語重心長
美國總統奧巴馬早前到訪俄克拉何馬州的艾雷諾男囚犯監獄，成為首位走訪聯邦監獄的在任美國總統。奧巴馬在「獄中」表示，自己年少時亦曾經犯錯，並指如無家人支持，恐怕他已淪為階下囚，無法當上首位黑人總統。

奧巴馬講述囚犯心聲時，語重心長地說：「當他們（囚犯）形容其青年時代時，都是一班犯了錯的年輕人，與我犯的錯沒有甚麼差別，與你們大部分人犯的錯也沒甚麼分別。（When they describe their youth, these are young people who made mistakes that aren't that different from the mistakes I made, and the mistakes that a lot of you guys made.）」
奧巴馬更解釋為何他其後能平步青雲，甚至入主白宮：「差別就在於他們沒有支持、第二次機會及資源，去讓他們在這些錯誤中生存。（The difference is that they did not have the kind of support structures, the second chances, the resources that would allow them to survive those mistakes.）」
