政壇：睇社論學英文：勇士登島宣主權 匣中寶劍鏗有聲
在日本戰敗投降六十七周年紀念日，釣魚島海域又發生了一場沒有硝煙但卻驚險萬分的戰爭。孤舟上路的香港保釣船突破日本當局的重重包圍及野蠻阻攔，成功搶灘登陸，七名勇士登上釣魚島插旗宣示主權，這是繼一九九六年及二○○四年後，中國人再次登上釣魚島，實屬難能可貴。
釣魚島局勢驟然緊張，完全是日本一手造成。今年以來，日本當局不斷製造事端，從民間登島到捐款購島，從揚言國有化到叫囂駐軍等等，鬧劇接二連三；就在日本戰敗投降六十七周年紀念日之際，日本右翼議員又叫嚷組織五十人登島。在這一連串鬧劇當中，日本政府逐漸由幕後走到前台，對中國極盡挑釁之能事。
面對日本的步步進逼，中國人已退無可退，不想吞下永遠丟失釣魚島的苦果，只能採取行動，奮起反擊。
事實上，日本雖然在二戰中投降，但從來沒有對侵略行徑作深刻反省，以致軍國主義的幽靈一直揮之不去。忘記歷史就意味着背叛，日本侵略中國野心依然不死，這是每一個中國人必須思考的問題，更是中國政府不能迴避的問題。
Landing on the Diaoyu Islands, brave heroes assert China's sovereignty over the territory
On the day commemorating the 67th anniversary of Japan's defeat and surrender, another thrilling battle took place in the Diaoyu waters without a shot being fired. Breaking the Japanese authority's rings of encirclement and barbaric blockade, the Diaoyu activists' lone boat successfully reached the Diaoyus. Seven brave heroes climbed onto the outcrop and planted flags, asserting China's sovereignty over the territory. It is exceptionally commendable that, after 1996 and 2004, Chinese nationals landed on the Diaoyu Islands once again.
The suddenly-intensified Diaoyu situation is completely attributable to the demeanour of Japan. Ever since the beginning of this year, Japan has been incessantly creating disturbances. Farces are staged one after another: from Japanese civilians landing on the Diaoyus to fund-raising for the islands' purchase, from threatening with nationalization to clamouring for stationing troops. On the 67th anniversary of Japan's defeat and surrender, its right-wing Diet members raised a hue and cry and tried to organize 50 persons into an expedition to the Diaoyus. Amidst the absurdities, the Japanese Government gradually moves from backstage to the front and spares no effort to provoke China. As Japan presses forward steadily, there is no more room for Chinese people to back off.
If we do not want to swallow the bitter pill of losing the Diaoyu Islands forever, actions must be taken to strike back.
In fact, although Japan surrendered at the end of the Second World War, it has never done a soul-searching on its invasive acts. As a result, the spectre of militarism still looms. To forget the past is to betray it. Japan's ambition of invading China has never died. This is an issue that every Chinese should ponder over, and a problem that the Chinese Government cannot shun.
